Professional Training

The Diabetes Society provides Continuing Education Units (CEU's) for health care professionals through hospital workshops, symposiums or camps. Local hospitals contract with the Diabetes Society to conduct workshops for their nursing staff on various topics relating to the acute care of people with diabetes. Symposiums covering the latest diabetes updates are offered every other year for the professional community.

In-Service Trainings

The Diabetes Society is available to offer diabetes education programs to professional groups at their work site.

Diabetes Symposium for Health Professionals

The Diabetes Society sponsors an annual educational program for all health professionals on the 2nd Saturday in November of each year.  The goal is to provide professionals to update their knowledge and skills of diabetes self-management. CME’s and CEU’s are available. Please see the Annual Symposium for Healthcare Professionals for more information.
