Diabetes Camp
(click for camp video)
Going to camp for children with diabetes is a great way to meet others like themselves and learn skills in managing their diabetes so they can feel more confident in being independent.

Camp is an incredible opportunity for youth, teens and families living with diabetes to have fun, make new friends, and learn more about diabetes. One of the most important benefits of camp is gaining the knowledge that there are others out there facing the same challenges, who really understand what diabetes is all about. Kids who come to camp make lifelong friends and learn that they don't need to be shy or embarrassed about testing, injecting and carb-counting.

Thanks to many generous donors, the Diabetes Society is able to offer our camps at a reduced cost to campers' families- our weeklong resident camps are only $25! Plus, no one is turned away from our programs for lack of ability to pay. Contact the Camp Department if you're interested in financial assistance.

Keep an eye on your mailbox for our 2008 brochure, or to get onto our mailing list email the camp department at camp@diabetessociety.org, or call 408-287-3785 ext 121. From within California or Nevada call us toll-free at 800-989-1165 ext 121.

We look forward to seeing you at camp!
